The Saint John the Baptist Parish Church, more commonly known as Jimenez Church, is a late-19th century Roman Catholic church known for its well-preserved Baroque architecture. Unique for its lack of a pediment, the church features a portico with three archedentrances, a parapet, and pedimented saints' niches. Its three-tiered bell tower,
complete with a working clock mechanism, adds to its charm. Inside, the church boasts some of the finest preserved interiors in Mindanao, including an 1898
ceiling painting and walls made of tabique pampango, a traditional Filipino construction technique. It has a working pipe organ, acquired in 1894, from Zaragoza, Spain. Beside the Church is the chapel devoted to the Divine Mercy, containing a first-class relic of St. Faustina
Kowalska.
